This is the perfect option for you if you have a smaller amount of work you would like to do. Come in and spend the day soldering and polishing and using our tools.
Access to a jewellery bench.
Use of shared tools, including hearth and blowtorch with gas, pickle, pillar drill, polishing wheel and tumbler. Small tools such as pliers, hammers, doming and swaging blocks and more are also available.
An invitation and free entry to our monthly mentoring meet up. Find out more about that here.
There are no additional costs for gas or electricity. Internet access is usually available but is not guaranteed. We have hot drink making facilities, but may ask for donations if you use the communal tea and coffee.
While our studio is not necessarily open every day and evening, we’ll work together to find a day that suits you to come and work. Day passes usually count as up to 7hrs of workshop time, between the hours of 9am and 7pm. (For example if you start work at 9am you finish at 4pm. Or if you start at 12pm you finish at 7pm). Your work hours cannot be split over 2 days.
Standard day passes cost £20 for 7 hours access.
New members must take a brief health and safety demonstration before you will be able to use the studio. This is a one off session and will cost £15.
As part of our ethos and commitment to mentoring and supporting local students and graduates, anyone currently studying or recent graduates (1-2 years) of jewellery and metalwork at Hallam will not be charged but will need to demonstrate full understanding of workshop health and safety.
Please fill in the form below with your required date and alternatives if possible. We’ll work with you to find a date and then send you an invoice and our terms and conditions.
