At The Jewellery Business, everyone is welcome at the bench.
Jewellery making has always been about creativity, self-expression, and learning new skills. We believe those things should be open to absolutely everyone. Our classes are designed to be friendly, supportive spaces where people from all backgrounds, identities, abilities, and levels of experience can feel comfortable having a go, asking questions, and making something they’re proud of.
People come to jewellery making for all sorts of reasons: to learn a craft, try something new, meet people, relax after work, build a business, or simply enjoy a few hours of making with their hands. However you arrive here, you’re welcome.
The Jewellery Business is committed to creating an environment where everyone feels respected and valued. We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or exclusion of any kind. Kindness, curiosity, and encouragement are the values that guide how we run our workshop and how we treat each other.
Inclusion isn’t a finished project — it’s an ongoing process. We continue to look for ways to make our classes, teaching, and workspace more accessible and welcoming wherever possible.
One thing we’re very open about is that our current workshop unfortunately isn’t fully accessible. Despite looking for suitable workshop spaces, the studio we’re based in is located up a flight of stairs and there is no lift access. We know this won’t work for everyone, and we’re genuinely sorry about that. If you’re unsure whether the space will work for you, please feel free to get in touch. We’re always happy to talk things through and help where we can.
If you’re interested in making jewellery, you belong here.
Pull up a stool, pick up a saw, and let’s make something.
